I would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to those of you who read about my Aunt Kay, who was struggling to get vaccinated in NYC. I am happy to report that she now has received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Though she vowed never to travel more than one block to get vaccinated after riding around NYC in a metered cab for four hours, she did receive a call in which they offered her a free ride to 168th St where she got vaccinated at the Armory. Now she gets several calls a day from various agencies who apparently are not in coordination with one another but somehow make it up in enthusiasm and warm for their fellow New Yorkers and their wellbeing. I certainly hope that the promises we are hearing about widespread vaccination for all who need it, not just in New York but everywhere (and not just in the US) comes true, sooner than later.
